We couldn’t be happier about the choice we made to host our wedding at the Orpheum. It was a success from beginning to end.

Obviously the theater has unmatched aesthetic allure, but when we were looking for venues we did a ton of research. We chose the Orpheum for its historic uniqueness, its central location, the responsiveness of the management to our questions, and the competitiveness of its pricing. Jackie did a fantastic job helping us through the planning process. She was always accessible, clearly capable, and a spring of helpful ideas. When the big day came, everything was handled exactly as we wanted it. From table set-up, to décor and all the little extras we wanted, it was perfect. I was especially astonished that when I arrived to drop off a few things in the morning, the owner himself was helping prepare! It’s the little things that make the difference. That morning you accommodated a last-minute request for bagels and yogurt for the bridesmaids, creating a beautiful spread that wowed the girls. You made the special drink lists we requested, collected the goods from our florist, and lined the stage with candles. There were so many special touches! The appetizers were delectable and the dinner was amazing. Even though you were serving 160 people, the food was cooked properly, timed well, and simply delicious. Our guests have been raving about it ever since!

We used an Ipod instead of a band or DJ, and hired the Orpheum’s technician, Richard, to help keep it timed. Richard pulled it off beautifully, even though we needed microphones and music playing in two separate spaces, which did not make it easy for him. The waitstaff and bartenders were supportive, competent, and fun too! Our guests never seemed to go without, and we were treated like royalty. Though the timeline stretched and squeezed throughout the evening, we never felt any pressure from the staff to rush things along. Even at the end of the night when I’m sure they wanted to go home, the staff were gracious hosts who let us linger and say goodbye to our guests in style.
